Developed for the demanding environment of foundry and casting, these garments are part of a new range of advanced Prowear protection, meeting the level 3 maximum performance for both D and E on the index (molten aluminium splash and molten iron splash) while still being comfortable.
The fabric is inherent, meaning flame resistant properties do not degrade with washing rather than cheaper treated cotton options. It’s designed to shed molten metal away rather than allow it cling to the fabric. The fabric is a wool blend, maintaining a hygienic constant body temperature that’s cool in summer and warm in winter.
Features of the trouser include belt loops, stretch fabric on the back waistband, and back and side pockets. Back pocket closed with flap and velcro, and side pocket on right leg closed with flap. Cover flaps are wide, and so can’t be tucked in. Easily distinguished from normal trousers by the pictograms sewn with FR thread.

It is always recommended that protective base layers are worn to the relevant standard, and in the case of heavy splash risk or intense radiant heat aluminised clothing should also be considered for increased protection.
