Developed for the demanding environment of foundry and casting, these garments are part of a new range of advanced Prowear protection, meeting the level 3 maximum performance for both D and E on the index (molten aluminium splash and molten iron splash) while still being comfortable.

The fabric is inherent, meaning flame resistant properties do not degrade with washing rather than cheaper treated cotton options. It’s designed to shed molten metal away rather than allow it cling to the fabric. The fabric is a wool blend, maintaining a hygienic constant body temperature that’s cool in summer and warm in winter.

Features of the jacket include a longer length for improved protection, a mandarin stand-up collar, and quick release double fastening with press studs then a velcro flap. The four pockets are protected with wide cover flaps which can’t be tucked in, and the sleeves are elastic closure. Reflective bands on sleeves, chest, and back for greater visibility in low light areas. Easily distinguished from normal jackets by the pictograms sewn with FR thread.

Fabric composition 54% viscose FR, 20% polyamide, 20% wool, 5% aramid, 1% antistatic fibre. All seams in Nomex 70/3 yarn. 375 g/m².
